MSc Software Engineering

Course overview

RCL's MSc Software Engineering develops advanced understanding of software methodologies, development practice and the resources required for software engineering work. Students study contemporary software engineering, advanced development, DevOps, research methods and a final project, building practical and analytical skills for technology roles and further research.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to have an honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with appropriate work experience. RCL states the standard entry requirement as a BSc in a Computer Science-related discipline or BEng in Software Engineering, usually with a first or upper second classification. Lower second applicants may be considered case by case where there is strong relevant industrial experience. If English is not the applicant's first language, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent with no band below 5.5 is required.
