BSc (Hons) Mental Health and Wellbeing
Course overview
The BSc (Hons) Mental Health and Wellbeing degree at UOCL is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to identify, understand, and creatively respond to the factors affecting mental health and wellbeing. Students will explore biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors and gain the tools to work in mental health and wellbeing roles across various sectors.

Standard Entry Requirements
96 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels or equivalent, e.g. CCC.
Alternatively, applicants can have:
- Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC
- Scottish Highers: BBCCC
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a relevant subject
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points
All applicants must have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C (or grade 4), including English and Maths.
Foundation Year Entry Requirements
40 UCAS points for Foundation Year entry.
English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent.

Teaching and assessment
The course uses a variety of assessment methods, including individual management reports, presentations, examinations, group work, boardroom simulations, and portfolio writing. Assessments will test students' ability to analyze and apply mental health theories in real-world contexts.

Fees and funding
2026/27: £9,250 | 2026/26: £9,535
EU nationals who meet residency requirements (have settled or pre-settled status) may be eligible for 'Home' fee status. If you do not meet these residency requirements, overseas fees will apply. Irish citizens living in the UK or Ireland will be eligible for 'Home' fee status under the Common Travel Area arrangement. For 2026-2028 entry, the maximum government-approved undergraduate tuition fee for UK students is £9,250 per year. The University is able to charge this fee subject to an approved Access and Participation Plan for 2026-2028 and its current rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
